FOX has grabbed SmackDown Live with $ 1 Billion US Dollar Deal

SmackDown Live will air on FOX network after October 2019

The news has broken on the internet that FOX reaches an agreement to air SmackDown Live on FOX Network with a 1 Billion US Dollar deal. The ESPN reporter Darren Rovel has confirmed the news before Monday Night RAW(21st May 2018). According to Rovell's report, WWE has agreed to make the broadcast network the new home of their Tuesday night live television program. As of writing some news outlet also suggest that SmackDown Live will move to Friday Night on FOX network and goes to 3 hours same as Monday Night RAW. The 1 Billion dollar deal between WWE and FOX is a multi-year agreement to broadcast the SmackDown Live. WWE & FOX did not announce publicly about the agreement.

The Hollywood reporter announces on past Thursday that USA Network was not interested to retain the SmackDown Live programming. They just want to focus on retaining Monday Night RAW.

FOX has already split up the UFC programming with the ESPN Network. FOX wants the SmackDown Live to be a three-hour show similar to Monday Night RAW but as of now, we do not know whether WWE agrees with this term or not. According to Rovell's report, SmackDown Live has averaged 2.58 million viewers for 2018 so far; while Monday Night Raw is right at 3 million. The SmackDown Live moved to USA network and had been aired since January 7, 2016. The show has moved from Friday night to Tuesday night when moved to USA Network. The SmackDown Live first aired on August 1999 and it is second longest running weekly episodic television.
