10 Matches should take place at Summerslam 2018
In the month of April and May, WWE had 3 Pay- Per view events Wrestlemania 34, Greatest Royal Rumble & Backlash and as a wrestling fan we all want to see every pay- per view that WWE put in front of us. But it is truly a lot of Wrestling to digest within a span of 1.5 months. Now the next pay-per-view is Money in the bank 2018 which takes place on 17th June 2018. WWE writers have a lot of time to write the storyline in a proper manner. Summerslam is the second biggest pay-per-view of the calendar year. It needs proper storyline and card to present that Summerslam is the party of summer.
Here is my list of matches that should take place at Summerslam 2018
10. Raw Tag Team Titles: Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn(c) vs. Braun Strowman:
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are great together and Sami Zayn is doing really great work after turning heel. Kevin Owens is in the Money in the Bank match and Sami is feuding with Bobby Lashley. Sami brings Bobby Sister's on Monday Night RAW(21st May 2018) and the segment kick-start their rivalry. Kevin and Sami should win the RAW Tag Team Championship at Extreme Rules 2018 and began feuding with Bobby and Braun Strowman for the titles. Bobby Lashley should turn against Braun Strowman and it will cause them the match at the party of Summer.
9. RAW Women's Championship Match: Nia Jax(c) vs. Ember Moon:
Nia Jax challenges Ronda Rousey at NBC Upfronts but Ronda Rousey should not win the RAW Women's Championship at MITB. This is not the right time for Ronda Rousey to win the championship gold. I am not taking anything away from her. But she is the master of MMA and transition from MMA to professional wrestling takes time. Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey should end in a no contest or some sort of disqualification and Ember moon should challenge Nia for the title.
8. United States Championship Match: Jeff Hardy(c) vs Andrade 'Cien' Almas:
Jeff Hardy wins the United States Championship from Jinder Mahal in a very lacklustre match(all credit goes to The Modern Day Maharaja). The matches Jeff Hardy involved in after winning the championship is not up to the mark except the one with THE MIZ & DANIEL BRYAN. Andrade Cien Almas already had a 5-star match in his regime against Johnny Gargano and he will put a classic match against Jeff Hardy for the Championship. Jeff Hardy is a great worker in the ring and at the age of 40 it is really incredible.
7. Ronda Rousey vs Stephanie McMahon(No Disqualification Match):
Ronda Rousey breaks her boss arm after an instant classic match. The rivalry should have a proper end. The story will have a proper ending if WWE builds up this match for Summerslam and the match should be No Disqualification in which Ronda Rousey beat the hell out of Stephanie McMahon. We all know that Billion Dollar Princess is not a great worker but she has Vince McMahon blood and goes all in for this feud.
6. Kurt Angle vs Triple H(Hell in a Cell):
Kevin Owens threatens Kurt Angle every single time nowadays. This will bring back the authority figure onscreen and what's better than a Kurt Angle vs Triple H match. The two guys have a history in the past and they can put a satisfying match as well. WWE should build this match. Triple H can carry this match and lead to a great match. Triple H is the best authority figure on the screen. Triple H is a heel but hardcore wrestling fan loves Triple H because his work in NXT is incredible and we all know Triple H is the godfather of WWE NXT.
5. AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe:
When Samoa Joe came out and cut a show-halting promo it felt like WWE is listening to their fans and giving what they want. AJ Styles is going to wrestle Shinsuke Nakamura at MITB and presumably, he will drop the title to Shinsuke. Samoa Joe should interfere in that match and it will set up the feud for ages. They will burn the house down if WWE gave them sufficient time. Both the man was in TNA and they had some great matches against each other. It is really interesting to watch these two fight in a WWE ring.
4. WWE Championship Match: Shinsuke Nakamura(c) vs Daniel Bryan :
Shinsuke Nakamura is the heel who wants to kick the balls. This gimmick should end and he to play a courageous heel who does not give a damn about anything. Daniel Bryan is the biggest babyface in WWE today. Shinsuke Nakamura should win the WWE title from AJ styles at Money in the bank 2018. The Miz should win the money in the bank Briefcase and cash in after the match when Daniel Bryan declared as the winner. And after that WWE can build the Miz Vs Daniel Bryan until Wrestlemania.
3. Smackdown Live Women's Championship: Charlotte Flair(c) vs Asuka II :
2. Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose:
Roman Reigns is the polarising figure after John Cena and Dean Ambrose is stale in his own act. Dean Ambrose is injured right now and after returning to programming he will be a babyface. Roman Reigns should turn heel because he did not receive the reaction that WWE management wants. This is the right time to turn Roman heel and feud with returning Dean Ambrose all summer until Survivor Series.
1. Champion vs Champion: Brock Lesnar(Universal Championship) vs Seth Rollins(Intercontinental Championship) Winner takes all:
Seth Rollins is the fighting champion and mocks the part-time schedule of Brock Lesnar on twitter. He recently mentions #Brockwho in his several tweets. WWE may be building toward a match between these two men and we all know that these two had unfinished business because Undertaker interferes in the match at Battleground 2015 to take the revenge against Brock Lesnar. Seth Rollins is the hottest person in the industry today. He has done some great work by far this year. WWE should book this match and give the fans what they really want.
